Everything We Need

If we are willing to trust the Lord He is willing and able to provide everything we need.

Philippians 4:19: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Humility is one great need of all men.

James 4:6: But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

He is able to humble us.

Daniel 4:37: Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

We need faith to be saved and faith to live by. He provides both.

Ephesians 2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 12:3: For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Galatians 5:22a, c: But the fruit of the Spirit is . . . faith,

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2 Timothy 3:15: And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 12:2: Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We need faith that grows and increases. The finisher of our faith can grow it and increase it.

2 Thessalonian 1:3: We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Mark 9:24: And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Luke 17:5: And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

When we need help with our faith and when we need it to increase, we too should go to the Lord for it.

James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

He provides for needs we know about AND for needs that we can*t even know about or count.

Psalms 40:5: Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Colossians 2:10: And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

It is wise to keep in mind that there is a difference between what our flesh wants and what we need.
